Throughout the whole month of November, primary schools across Victoria have been championing active travel through whole-school walking activities, breakfast events, classroom activities and more.
At the end of week three, students across the State had completed an average of seven active journeys to or from school, and walked an average of eight kilometres each since the start of November. What a great effort!
Many more, like
primary schools across the Gannawarra Shire, have been recording walks to and
from school on classroom calendars. These calendars will be collected on Monday
2 December and sent to VicHealth so that Gannawarra schools can contribute to
the final state-wide tallies.
There’s only two more day of Walk to School month so Gannawarra
children - get those walking shoes moving and let’s make it count!
